TERMS AND CONDITIONS
BUSINESS PORTRAIT
1. SKETCH PHASE AND DEADLINE
a) At the beginning of the commission, we will determine the number of included revision rounds and the delivery date. Any additional revision rounds beyond the agreed number will be subject to an additional charge.
b) Timely feedback on interim sketches or developments can help prevent delays. The responsibility for any delays caused by a late response from the client lies with the client and may result in an extension of the deadline.
2. CHANGES OR CANCELLATION OF COMMISSION
a) Additional work or extensions resulting from changes to the commission will be subject to a supplementary fee agreed upon jointly, based on the illustrator's customary fees.
b) In case of commission cancellation for any reason, the client is liable for full compensation for work already completed, unless there is clear evidence of a breach of contract on the part of the illustrator.
3. ALTERATIONS TO THE ILLUSTRATION
The client is not permitted to make changes to the illustration without the illustrator's consent. Therefore, the client must first provide the illustrator with the opportunity to make the desired alteration(s).
4. ATTRIBUTION
The name of the illustrator must be appropriately credited within the work. For editorial use, attribution is a requirement. In cases of commercial use, attribution must be mutually agreed upon with the client.
5. RETURNS
The process of creating a portrait is designed to meet your specific requirements. As a result, portraits cannot be returned or exchanged. In the highly unlikely event that your portrait does not meet your expectations or there are issues with its quality, I will make every effort to resolve the situation to your satisfaction.
6. COPYRIGHT
The copyright remains with the illustrator. If the client intends to use the illustrations for additional purposes, such as reprints, additional materials, or selling abroad, they must first contact the illustrator to arrange compensation.
7. OWNERSHIP
Unless expressly agreed otherwise in writing, the illustrations remain the property of the illustrator.
8. EXCLUSIVITY
The illustrator will not sell the illustrations to third parties. However, the illustrator may showcase the work on their social media platforms unless otherwise agreed upon in advance.
